What is Squirrel Mail?

Squirrel Mail is a web based mail client with support for MIME, address books, and folder management. It is a lightweight alternative to TWIG. You may change your mail password at https://gerf.org/password.

Is it Secure?

It sure is. At Gerf.Org we're using OpenSSL technology to make sure that your mail, and it's passwords are encrypted. However, don't forget to logout when you're done with Squirrel Mail. Otherwise someone else could use that web browser to access Squirrel Mail! (It does time out, just in case).

It keeps bothering me about certificates or IE won't load the certificate

We use a certificate signed by CACert. You have one of two choices to get rid of the annoying message:

  • Install a CaCert's Root Certificate (Try the PEM one first). Accept the certificate for everything.
  • Just accept the warnings.

How do I access Squirrel Mail?

Use the Login link at the top of this page or go to:

This service is only available to users of Gerf.Org. Unauthorized access is not allowed.
